G link Install, Super cool stuff, Lots of pics

We had a chance to install the new G link is Louis Barraza's badd ass 68 Camaro we painted last month. We used a 12 bolt rear and did the weld on brakcets on this car. Turned out fantastic, I am VERY impressed. the stuff came very well packaged, fit perfect, and looks amazing. I have not been able to drive the car yet. This is a on going project. But knowing what the original G Bar system is capable off, add the adjustability of the G Link, and the extra beef in the complete system. And it is a no brainer this will be even better then the original G bar.



I will have a G link installed in my own car very soon and will be able to do driving impression and track testing. If I ever get time to work on my own stuff.









A pair of brackets weld to the inner frame rails, pretty basic welding here in a solid easy to weld area. They also self locate pretty well, so it is almost impossible to screw them up.

The shocks can be mounting in multiple vertical positions to adjust ride height. Additional ride height adjustment can be made buy running the coil spring up and down the shock. Multiple spring rates are available to suit your individual needs.

The upper shock has 3 horizontal positions to change the shock angle.







Here you can see the loower bar has 4 vertical positions, the upper bar has 2 positions for instant center changes. Really cool stuff.







Look at the size of that lower bar! Really beefy! The Offset bushing moves the lower bar inboard on mini tub cars for excellent tire to lower bar clearance. Weld on brackets, or a ready made Fab 9 housing are required for offset bar mini tub aplication. NON mini tub cars can use the original mono or multi leaf mounts, or can use weld on brackets or a ready made Fab 9 housing

The original G-bar , is it allso okay with minitubs ??

There are various options, but this kit was right at $2250 and included the weld jig. A couple options can run the cost up and down a few pennies. the uretahne kit is only $1800 and change.

All the good 4 links that actually work are going to be in the high teens to lows 2s. The Base G bar, $1839, Prodigy Bar, $2100, G Link $2139, DSE $2195.

I know people have been asking what i am about to ask. What is the actually ride height ?

Is it possible to set the car up at 6.00" from the pinch weld ?

No suspension system that uses stock rear frame rails is going to ride that low without being on the stops. EmptyNest is probably one of the lowest stock frame rail ride height cars around, and even with extended rockers is over 6" rocker to ground measurement.

So it is not a given suspension that limits ride height. This kit has enough adjustment to ride on the stops, but you would not want to do that
