I just couldn't pull the trigger on a 2k accessory system right now for the new ls7. I ended up with a gm performance parts corvette kit, I know its butt ugly, any suggestions or opinions how to make it look better. If I powder coated the big bracket black would it just stand out and look worse? Im probably going to keep the valve covers stock and coil packs where they are, its a pretty stock look. So I was also thinking maybe leave it raw alluminum smooth it out and glass bead? Any opinions- Thanks Rich
Its not really flat kind of curved and its hollow behind. The wall isn't that thick. But I get what you mean. I didn't install the power steering pump in the bracket and the pulley is about 6.5 inches in diameter so the bottom is pretty well covered by the menagerie of pulleys. The area to the left of the altenator is the most exposed visable part of the bracket.
If it is flat, you could have a shallow pocket machined in it that followed the outline. About a 1/2" boarder around the outside.
Take this same concept but go all the way through and black it out. That way it really won't pull your eye towards it. It will also make it appear as if were light and not heavy looking. Hollowing it out will also alow light through and give it a different perspective

I like the stock look and think more engineering went into it than the aftermarket systems. And if you need something you can order it at any Chevy Dealer.
i cut the bosses off the valvecovers and welded the holes and polished (still need the last buff) and made some brachets to relocate the coils.. and it didnt really cost anything...
