A couple whacks with a rubber mallet or deadblow would probably help.

yah thanks guys. that thing was really on there. I was prying with a prybar and nothing but I got a second pair of hands to whack it with a rubber mallet while I pulled and pryed. been too long since I've worked on a car engine lol.

Was there corosion or rust on the hub of the crank? You might want to hit it with some scotchbrite before you re-assemble things.
