17" tires with big ass white letters? - Lateral-g Forums

I'm looking for set of tires for my current little project. I'm hoping to achieve a certain look and set of old school white letter racing tires would do the trick just fine. I've browsed heavily and haven't found much. GY makes a real racing slick for wet condition (not DOT) that is the closest of what I'm looking for.

Something like this in 285/40/17 and 325/35/17 and DOT legal:

Am I out of luck with this one?

I would talk to Diamond BacK Tire. They vulcanize any size tire with redline or white walls so I I think they are your best bet.

I already spoke with them, been buying tires from them in the past and they are usually very flexible. We'll see how it goes...

I've been thinking about Diamond Back tire for this application too. I was even thinking of just getting the "blackwall" tires where they just smooth out the sidewall and theres no more raised lettering or markings. You might want to consider that option for a clean slate for you to stencil upon. I was looking for a 17 inch tire that had the raised "BF Goodrich" on it, but no luck.
