Default Oakley elite sunglasses

Anyone see these??

The premier frame in this exclusive eyewear family takes aesthetics to an entirely new arena, and it would not be possible without the world’s most advanced structural technologies. Oakley Elite C SIX utilizes pure carbon fiber, a material thinner than human hair yet stronger than high tensile steel. This breakthrough innovation from the aerospace industry is blended with resins and assembled into structures more than 40 layers thick. Five-axis Computer Numeric Control machining carves and shapes the composite with a process that requires more than 24 hours of continuous tooling.

Ready for this... $4000.00

And the worst part is? Most likely the majority of those who will buy them will be people who really cannot afford them.

Shiny Side Up!

4 figure plus sunglasses? Nothing new... Louis Vuitton has has $5K+ glasses out for a while now, and they're instantly recognizable and ugly-- just like their luggage and fabric patterns.

That statement kind of sounds like me and my car parts. Can't afford it, tell the wife I don't have any money. Yet, and still a box full of parts mysteriously shows up on my doorstep from FedEx or UPS couriers.

$4k for glasses that I'd drop in a week, and scratch the lenses?
$4k for glasses that I'd end up sitting on within a month and screw them up?

I'd rather by a basketcase of a car for that money, and let it sit in my driveway

And I bet they still break. It is rarely the frame that breaks on glasses it is usually the hinge for the arms or the glass. So sure you get CF frames and arms, so what sit on em or drop them and your $4G's are gone
