Yea, I wanted to be sure I ordered the right strength hand winches to lift the car. I don't want the cable to give while I'm under it....I ordered two with weight limit of 2000 lbs strength each.

why not use hydraulic bottle jacks, way safer then winches and works nicer too, here is a pic. this is a buddies andn i copied his and made one myself, pics of mine are too big to post.

Wow Jake, thats a big'n also. Looks like you could do that school bus with that one. Hydraulic jacks are cool and I agree. Perhaps down the road I'll add them. For now, I'm trying to keep my cost down due to the fact this stuff keeps adding up.

Jake, how did you build the pipe that turns on the vertical square tube? Specifically, my question is this, does the part that bolts to the car slide out of the round pipe or is it locked in it? This is hard to explain so let me know if you do not understand what I'm asking.
