Corvette tattoo, and an import lover

So I was in class a few weeks ago talking with some guy who has an STI like me. He's boasting about a few things on his car. I let him have his small moment of happiness. I know my car is faster, but I'm not a jerk and tell other people the car they love sucks compared to mine.

So he asks why I have a corvette tattoo on the back of my left arm. I tell him the corvette is my favorite american car. Also that I think 99% of japanese cars suck, except subaru's... Honestly

Well he asks me what about the GTR. I say yeah it's nice but I'd spend my money on a vette any day of the week. So he then says: Take both cars Z06 and a GTR and twin turbo them, build them up. Who would win? "ohh the GTR would beat the vette in the drag, around any track, it would just beat it up and down anything. What a jerk!

I looked up their stats when I got home on a few different sites like car and driver, road and track, some youtube vids. They're pretty close performance wise. I'd put my money on the vette, But his arrogance just made me want to back hand him.

Just had to share my little story.

I've beat up on a GTR twice locally at SCCA events. The guy isn't Mario Andretti but his abs and traction control sure take some skill out of the deal. Bring that lard ass on on the road course.

you should have told him car and driver have tested the ZR1 and the GTR side by side and the vette always comes out on top. In a drag the GTR has a better launch but the vette does walk on the GTR pretty good after small distance. Twin turboing the cars makes no differance except they would be running more power.

Yeah he was pretty dumb, dropped the class about three weeks after all this hahaha.

I love the corvette, one day when I'm old and grey, I'll have one of my own, and I'll be the fastest old man around my town.
