Default Unisteer rack and pinion?

Hi

I'm consider buying a Unisteer power rack and pinion for my Camaro -68.
Is it any good? Other alternatives?

I own one, and from what my research tells me it's by far the best kit on the market. I wont be driving my car for another year, but a friend of mine is installing one very soon on a driver and will have lots of good feedback on this unit...stay tuned!

ill have one in about 2 weeks, and the car will be up and running in late winter. I live by the credo drive it like you stole it, so if theres anything wrong with it ill be the first to know haha, seems like a solid unit though and the lesser of all the other evils: steeroids (binding universals) flaming river (heavy as hell)

I put one on last summer and love it!!! I cant beleve how much more prescise the car is. Yes I too drive it like I stole it and them some. I did have to add another Borgsen joint to clear my headers but that was no big deal. I will tell you though dont try to install it unless you have a lift or the fron clip off with the engine removed as it took us about a day and it was nice being able to stand under the car. If you want any other info just post and I will answer your questions.

Thanx Mike
I think the Unisteer unit will be the solution to my steering problem.
It will take a few weeks until i order one so if you have some more
input feel free to let me and everyone else know...
Thanx again

why do you say a lift is needed? do you think it can be installed w/o a lift?

Mike,
Do you have any pictures of the linkage setup with the extra joint? I had mine working properly but switched to some new Hooker super comps and now need to alter the linkage. Not sure what to order yet because I am not quite sure of where to run the new linkage setup. Thanks, Dave
