Default Recommendations on what to do while on holidays in U.S

We are heading over to the U.S from Australia in a couple of days, looking for some tips on some additional things to do while we are there.

Our travel plan is:
- New York 7 nights (including 4th July)
- Fly to San Fransisco (2 nights)
- Drive from San Fran to Vegas (night stoppover in Yosemite park)
- Las Vegas (3-4 nights)
- Drive from Vegas to LA, stay Huntington beach (2 nights)
- Day trip down to San Diego for Seaworld
- Stay in Sunset blvd in LA (3 nights)
- Fly out from LA

We are going to visit the following car shops: Foose Designs, Barry White Speed Shop, West Coast Customs, SoCal customs (vegas), Matts Classic Bowties, Classic industries, maybe the Edelbrock shop.

Are there any decent Auto recyclers in our vicinity's that are likely to have any first gen camaro stuff? What about street meets/test and tune nights, car shows?

If any of you have any recommendations of must see things in these places i've mentioned, i'll add it to our itinery if we don't already have it.

Sounds cool, we are in town both friday and saturday night. Where abouts are these held? PM me if you like. We're staying in Times Square, so we are pretty central.

The Foose Design tour is Noon-1 and is a must see if you're in Huntington Beach.

All the little beach cities around San Diego like Pacific Beach, Del Mar and La Jolla are very cool and the San Diego Zoo is world class.

In L.A. you won't be far from the Petersen Automotive Museum which is always amazing. The Sony Studios Tour in Culver City is the best kept secret in Hollywood. It's not some phony ride through mock movie sets, it's a walking tour through a working studio where movie making history has taken place for nearly 90 years when it was first opened as the original MGM Studios so check it out if you're into movies. Venice Beach and the Santa Monica promenade are nearby and always good times and great people watching.

You might also try to get tickets to see tapings of the Tonight Show or Jimmy Kimmel's show but they're hard to get.

Have a great trip and be sure to post pics!

Yeah we were hoping to get a tour through the foose designs shop. I knew about the limited opening hours, didnt think to call ahead though. Will do that a day or 2 in advance.

Was hoping Matts Classic bowties would have a decent inventory of stock, i didnt really want to wait forever at Classic Industries.
