Default 1st Second Generation Camaro for Sale

To all:

I was surfing and found this getting ready to be sold.

Very cool.

Hit this link and start drooling.

Oddly, it looks different than the cars of the same model that came out later that year. Am I wrong on this?

thats mcdormans car. he is a local chevy dealer and had the first and second vin vettes of every gen. they are not doing too good and he is selling off everything to keep the dealer open for another 2 years so he can get his 50 year GM dealer ring.

he is a link to everything he is selling.

This isnt the first 1970 camaro.

This is:

I believe this is the EBAY fake from 2006.

I know where the #1 Van Nuys car is, and it isn't this.

not to call you out, but do you have any way of backing that up? i imagine mecum does some research on claims that the owners make for the cars they post.

I would say it probably is a real #1 Judging by the rest of the guys collection and that he has been a GM dealer for that long, why would he need to fake it, he obviously has (or had?) money enough.. I really like that Camaro, it looks good, like a vintage muscle car with those wheels and stance I think, if it is what it claims. Otherwise minitub it and fix it lol...

The "First" cars were all norwood cars, specifically cars 0N500001-0N5000017. These are refereed to as pilot cars. The car I pictured is the number one pilot car, and underwent a 18 year restoration after being purchased by a man named Dave from Smokey Yunick's estate. It has a long and interesting history.

I have no way to prove which one is real, but 3 cars exist with this VIN. The 2 that have sold in the last 5 years on EBAY(I think this is one of them) and the one I know about. This could be make four though.

Ill have to check at work and see if there's some way to see how many cars are registered with that VIN.
