Is anyone working on installing the new IRS in a 1st Gen car?

Appears to be a compact casset style package.

They appear to be awfully wide which will make it difficult to put in any of our cars and look halfway decent. The hot ticket for IRS that can be narrowed is the Mustang Cobra from the previous bodystyle.

If the dimensions aren't restrictive it appears it wouldn't be overly complex to fab mounts. Just looking forward and thinking out loud.

but it´s a very very tight fit and my camaro is widened about 2" on both sides and runnin 12" 325x25/20" c5 wheels with spacers

What year is it and is it a 36 or a 44 ?
How much HP are you puttin to it ? Not to scare you , guys that run sticky slicks, with 11 wheels tend to be hard on wheel bearings . Its a yearly thing with a few AX guys .
I bet you know about that ...
Nice build , would like to see more .
I think 84-95 was one width 96 up was a little wider .

we actually build our own housing and cover that utilizes the Dana 44 gears and Truetrac limited slip. http://www.newmancarcreations.com/products/

The 84-87 suspensions have the same track width @ 60" and the 88-96 are a little wider @61-1/2" We used the early style on this build.

the owner is hoping to jet 400HP out this car so we are not too worried about braking things at this point.
