Laser jet? Washington area, anyone.

I've got a couple of aluminum pieces about .080" thick I'd like to laser cut words completely through, do you know anyone in Washington that does this?

If it will give me a nice clean cut it'll work. I'm just making some valve cover covers. once cut I'm going to paint or powder coat them. Thanks for the heads up, I'll check into them. Have you used them in the past?

I havent used them, but I know they have been around quite a while. Never heard anything bad. What part of Wa are you in? Actually I have a shop up in Bellevue that has a water jet also. HMM, I can get ahold of my guy there and see what they can do.

The waterjet will give you a finish on the edge of the part similar to a sandblasted part. The edge can be easily smoothed out with a scotch brite wheel or file.

Lenie -- Just bring 'em over here -- you can freehand 'em with the plasma... then walk a few feet to the BurrKing 760 and grind on 'em for a while... then I'll hand you a angle grinder - and you can work your way down from 60 to 120... and finally hand sand them - then walk over to the Baldor and start buffing...

Shouldn't take more than a day or two....

My post read a little off. Its not my shop, its a shop I do work for. Ill get ahold of the guy I know there and see if thats something they want to tackle. I'm pretty sure it would be an easy deal. Unless of course you want Greg to "Git Sum" with his plasma cutter
