Default T56 swap help

I know this has probably been gone over a million times but I am having trouble finding answers to some of my questions. I currently have a 468 BB Chevy motor 2 piece main block with about 600hp. I have a turbo 400 in the car now but just bought a 2001 Camaro T56. I plan on cruising the car but will obviously drive it hard once and a while. I have a 12 bolt rear end with 4.30 gears and an Auburn Possi.

So here's my questions. I was looking to go with a Quick Time Bell Housing (part#RM-6023) but I have nothing else. I want to go with a 168 tooth flywheel and a reasonably priced clutch set up. I don't know which clutch and throw out bearing to go with. Are they all pretty straight forward, in other words can I just order an 11" clutch assembly and throw out bearing for a 2001 Camaro or do I need a special conversion type? I have heard a lot of good and bad comments regarding clutches and throw out bearings but most of the post I have found are pretty old so I'm sure there has been a lot of changes in parts for this set up. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I'm pretty much ready to start the install.

Quicktime should be able to help you out but I think you could go with clutch flywheel and PP setup for a Mark IV BBC. Just use the 26 spline clutch and PP. Quicktime housing should let everything mate up but I dunno for sure. If you use a McLeod b/h, you can use there flywheel, clutch and PP, and I know it will work.

Thanks, I called Quicktime and they were'nt very helpful. In fact he gave me the wrong part number for the Bellhousing. Honest mistake I guess. So as long as I get a 26 spline clutch and pp it should work?

I think Hurst owns Quicktime. Give Jim Goodlad a call at Hurst Driveline Conversions Tech Service line. He's very knowledgeable and super helpful.

Thanks, I will call him. I talked to a rep at Centerforce and he suggested I go with a Cenetrforce Flywheel pn#700-140 and part#DF612909 for the clutch and pp. It's a "new" dual friction 12" clutch thats supposed to hold better and is lighter ( in weight and pedal force ) than the norm. He said its rated from 650-700hp. He also said the factory hydraulic throwout bearing will work. Any opinions?

Check the travel required to disengage that 12in clutch. Depending on what's required, i.e. McLeod's 12in clutch needs 1/2in, you may have to shim the T/O bearing.
