Default Chassisworks g-Bar and g-Link Misinformation

There is a significant amount of misinformation in the forums regarding the Chassisworks g-Bar and g-Link rear suspension system for '67-69 Camaro. To clear up the confusion we have prepared a detailed response, which can be downloaded to read in its entirety.

g-Bar Misinformation (PDF)

Failure of the upper-control-arm frame rail attachment...
This image shows a torn passenger-side frame rail, with the tear extending from a sleeve that was welded in by the installer. This failure is a result of an improperly installed frame bracket. Additional detail regarding this particular installation is given in our g-Bar Misinformation document.

The car does not sit as low as I would like…
Another comment commonly made is that the g-Bar and g-Link systems do not sit low enough. This is simply a limitation of the factory body sheet metal to suspension clearance. Our g-Bar and g-Links systems were designed to not involve cutting the floor to further lower the car. However, we do now have a few new products available that allow the suspension to be lowered beyond the original travel range. We also have a new rear frame product in the works that will allow the car to sit considerably lower. It will debut at SEMA 2012, no additional info will be available before then.

If you have any additional questions please contact me.

How about you offer (at no charge to current customers) another shock cross bar that won't hit the Fab 9 filler neck when the car is lowered?
