Default Tko 600 or t-56
Planning my ls swap. I have a tko, should I use it or sell it and go 6 speed?

Some more info would help.

Which TKO?

How much hp and torque does your motor have?

Do you plan on shifting above 6k rpm?

The T56 is larger how much tunnel modification do you want to do?

I wouldn't put a tko600 in a tonka truck.

They make a great truck trans. Granny low tow gear and really tall 5th. For a cruiser that shifts below 5k they are fine.

I agree, for the average hot rodder they are just fine. Notchy but bullet proof. Notice the I in my response.

The transmission I have is the tko 600, like the thread says it will be a stockish ls2 or 6.0. Just deciding if I can use some of what I have. I am the average hot rodder. Just looking for driveabilty.
