http://home.earthlink.net/~bzdel/index1.htm
Here is a link to probably the first G-body Ls1 swap- Now an LS6. He did have all the technical details posted but now I cant find all the pages. Anyways, Cool car and I think it qualifies as protouring.

Default Thanks for the update

Maybe John can give us some performance figures when its done, and I am curious to how he fit 315's under the rear. Has his frame had the notch like in the tech file on maliburacing.com ? Curious because on the car I had it seemed that 285 was the max width to run on stock frame and tuck into the fender well.

He did notch the rear frame rails. Also he cut the inner fender wells from another car to widen that area. Also he welded a piece of tubing from one side to the other. I want to do it before it is all over with. I wish Centerline made the stars in 11" widths. I have called them a few times to try to convince them to make 2 of them, but they won't. They said they used to, but not any more. So I guess I will have to get a different brand.

Search on MonteCarloSS.com for it.

I don't know how to link, but if you go to the rolling chassis section on there you will see a post called "Mini tub pics" its in there.
