Default What car/bike did you drive in High school

I had a 1968 SS Chevelle then traded that for a V8 GT Vega in my senior year (class of 78)

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.

74 Nova. Canary yellow with a spray painted black hood and McCreary dirt track meats on the back. I was a long lost relative of Joe Dirt.

I agree DG. But back then (70's & 80's) Camaros, Novas and Chevelles were a dime a dozen

A V8 Vega was rare and fast

I drove a '55 Nomad... two tone beige and Ivory... 3 speed on the column... and then a '66 Corvette 327/300hp A/C PW Coupe... Graduated in 1970 and you could buy a nice '55 Chevy for $600.... my 'Vette was $2800. My insurance was $40 PER MONTH which was OUTRAGEOUS!

Drove my '70 Chevelle. Still got it. Will be starting a build thread soon. Paid $150 for it.

Mustang GT killin' 1956 Bug with 2110 stroker motor. Ran low 13's on 165-15 radials. If I only knew then what I know now I could have made a bunch of money with that car. I would be willing to bet it would have went well in to the 11's with traction.

So............If you were in the insurance business what would you have charged a high school kid driving a newer Corvette that couldn't see over the steering wheel?
