Sealer
I have a couple grommets in my firewall and would like to put a putty like sealer around the wires to help keep the heat out. Would like to use something that I can remove easy and stays pliable. Anybody have any suggestions?

My experience is that it tends to harden in time.

How about butyl tape? Stays soft and plyable.
