Been a member over at pro-touring.com for a while. I'm the president of the BoD of the Indianapolis Region SCCA, an avid autocrosser, and a huge fan of the entire pro-touring movement.

I'm currently autocrossing a 2005 Mustang GT but I'm building a car to replace it. Being a longtime Mopar fanatic (The Mustang is the first Ford performance car I've owned) I'm building a Dodge Aspen that I'm putting a Laughlin BGN chassis under. I grew up during the heyday of asphalt latemodel racing in the mid seventies to mid eighties and the car will be influenced heavily by some of the Chrysler Kit Cars campaigned here in the midwest during the period. I was a huge Jim Cushman fan so the Jerry Lawrence owned Duster and Volare Kit Cars are huge influence. I don't know what I'm going to power it with but it will be Mopar. I'm torn between a traditional Mopar small block or a Gen III Hemi.

Here's the Mustang I currently beat on.....

and here's some of the Aspen and the chassis as I bought them.....

Welcome to Lateral-G. Lots of great people here and I'm sure you'll enjoy the place. Great project you've got going there and the Mustang looks like a lot of fun.

Enjoy!

We can always use more Mopar builds here...looks like a unique project for sure.
