Default Hennessey Venom GT Sets 270.49mph Record on Forgeline GA1R Wheels

On February 14, 2014, the Hennessey Venom GT set a new production car world speed record by reaching a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h). The test was performed at the Kennedy Space Center on the 3.2-mile Space Shuttle landing runway and driven by Brian Smith, Director of Miller Motorsports Park.

Built on a carbon fiber & composite/aluminum hybrid monocoque space frame and powered by a twin turbocharged 7.0L (427ci) V8, the Hennessey Venom GT makes 1244HP but weighs only 2743 lbs.

And what wheel does Hennessey trust on their million dollar Venom GT for a 270.49 mph top speed record run? They chose the Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GA1R, of course. Congratulations to Hennessey Performance for this astounding accomplishment! See more at: http://www.forgeline.com/customer_ga...w.php?cvk=1026

Uh yeah those wheels are wicked looking. Congrats on the press and product alignment with Hennessey. Nothing like setting records with your gear on board. Congrats.

Thats Awesome Mark, Quite an accomplishment.

I love how they look invisible at speed...I wonder if you could design a wheel center to take a different shape at speed.

I think we're all pretty excited to have them on the car too, these things look sick on there.
