Default California Howdy

New member and thought I'd check in. I Was pointed over here by flash68, via yellowbullet.

I've been a (largely inactive) member of a couple other pro-touring/corner carving sites since 2002-2004-ish as "PAI Racing". So, I may know some of you guys from the old days...

I originally got into the scene running a '67 Camaro in NASA AIX, but moved on to shifter karts and offshore boats and finally kids baseball and biking. Along the way the '67 was sold off to Australia.

So I'm finally falling back in line with a '68 Camaro LS project. Nothing particularly special or sexy... Just looking to get a driver together to have a bit of fun in a car that looks and sounds right again.

Thanks,

Sean

Thanks guys! I'm glad I'm back in as well!

I wish I'd just wired my old car for lights and drove it!

I'll get pictures together of my '68 (here's one for now) and start its own project thread and also try to get some photos of the '67 up as well.

My first race in the '67 was at Cal Speedway. First practice session, turning left into the infield, I got punted by a pro truck! I pulled down pit lane and asked one of the marshals to check the back of the car. He couldn't figure out why... When I got back to my pit I found a dent under the bumper about the size of a quarter. Got to love a steel bodied race car! The front clip on the truck wasn't so lucky!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Looking forward to progressing the '67 project and catching up on everything that I've missed over the past 7 years.

Haha! Yeah it was dark blue with silver numbers. No biggie. I love tube chassis road race cars and trucks. So all good in my book!

Welcome from another new guy! I'll be going to the track tomorrow (Thunderhill) with many pre-existing dents in my Falcon. With an incident like the one you've mentioned, nobody would find (noticeably new) evidence on my car. I like this element of stress reduction...
