I am sure many of you are aware that I am planning a 66-67 Nova build. Daily driver, 350 Ram Jet, auto trans, plans for modern comfort interior and monster handeling and braking. Why did I choose this car? Looks cool, it's small and light, will get better mileage, requires less horsepower to be quick, fits in my small garage easily. Clearly (although slightly larger and heavier) an F body is a much better starting point to build a corner carver (parts availability and such).
I was initially opposed to F bodies because there are so many out there (for a good reason I might add). I just wanted to do something slightly different. However, I will say I like F bodies just as much as the next guy...they look killer.
So how say you, forum brethren? Stick with the Nova or start looking into F bodies?
You seem to know the pros and cons of both. Its a personal desision. No one should decide this for you. build which ever you are personally more atracted to. Parts are more redily available for both of the cars then (i think) any other. If you are planning on keeping it for a long time. make sure it is the car you are attracted to. They are both azz kickers. You kind of cant go wrong.
