Default Possible move to Texas

Well for the first time in my life I have been laid off from work. Very long story about trying to buy into a family business, but not working out, and getting layed of for speaking my mind about their laziness.

I have a couple of good leads, with a posible move to Texas. The plant is in Kosse, Texas so between Waco and Temple.

Just looking for any advice as far as good or bad about either area.

Thanks in Advance.

Dang Mike! That's heavy!

Laid off after speaking your mind as an employee? Sounds like wrongful termination right there....

Although Texas is not as Communist as our state here... and your $ goes a hell of a lot farther.

Sorry to hear that man. Don't know much about Texas other than they are still pretty "American" in beliefs (not counting the illegals that is). Lots of space, cars, guns and red meat!! LoL!

Well i live in Waco(Hewitt,TX) but work IN Temple. obviously i like Waco better. Waco is growing pretty fast and alot of the sub cities around Waco are really nice (Woodway,Speegleville,Hewitt) what else you need to know? I have lived in Waco area all my life.

Waco looks like a nice rural area. My wife and I watch that home show with the husband and wife from Waco that remodel homes. Looking at the area it looks like a place we could live.

My daughter may end up in the Austin area, and my brother lives in the Dallas area.

I used to live in Waco, it is a great place to live.

It's got everything you could want in a town.

We moved to Texas because of the favorable tax breaks and small business opportunities.

We actually moved to a much smaller town called Crockett because my wife and I have reached the point in our lives where we wanted to slow down and just curl up in front of a fireplace this time of year. LOL. Yes it does get a little cold some days down here, but when we were in Waco visiting last month I was still in a short sleeved shirt.

The summers of course are a different story with high humidity and average temps approaching the century mark.
