One day I would love to drop a ls motor in a 64-69 mustang. I'm going to watch this thread for an answer.

None exist that I know of. However you find a shop to fab up the pedastals, the rest is normal swap stuff you find on the many ls forums. I have only stuck ls motors in older Gm body's but my bud has 2 '66 Stangs, I want to toss an ls motor in.

If I was still in the Bay area, I would have Mean street fab something up Picked up a 1970 Fastback Boss Clone. I already ordered the CCW's, Baer Brakes, Total Control front coil over and rear 4 link coil over..has a 302 in it.. But I want to go fast and swap parts for LSx are easy to get.. just not for a mustang

Here she is with a new toy I picked up

Kevin,

I put a LS engine in a 67 Cougar. Details here:

http://www.pro-touring.com/threads/1...res-and-videos)

I have full TCP front suspension and also a TCP rack conversion kit. The rack kit makes life easier.

Andrew

Just like with Andrew's Cougar mentioned above, you've got plenty of room in a '69 engine bay for an LS (without having to chop shock towers, like in an earlier Mustang). With that in mind, you're not likely to find a "kit" without doing something like a Mustang II crossmember--that's probably as "off the shelf" as you'll get.

If you really want it, be the guy who does the research (measurements/angles/bolt patterns), then tells the fab guy exactly what you want. It should be relatively simple. You've got some great fab guys local-ish to you, like DuSold and Vorshlag. Vorshlag puts LS engines in BMWs and Scions, so your Mustang (or just some applicable one-off parts) would be a piece of cake for them . . .

Oh, wait . . . there's a guy on Pro-Touring.com who did a '69 or '70 Mustang LS conversion with a Griggs Racing subframe, but that's not bolts, and you've already bought stuff . . .
