Default Opinion on these mirrors please

What's your thoughts on this mirror? From the back it fits the body lines perfectly and doesn't look to big. From the front and side it looks to big. This is just mocked up with tape and a magnet, if it's put on the car it will be about 1/2"- 3/4" lower and closer to the body. When I first looked at it I didn't like it. The more I look at it though I'm starting to like it.

Oh man. When I saw the first picture at the same time I started reading your post, I thought to myself "man I like that mirror!"

Then I saw the rest of the pictures. It looks fine from behind, but in photos the mirror looks way too big. I love the shape/lines, but not the size. Your initial thoughts are spot on with mine.

Maybe it's better in person, but any chance there is a smaller version of that mirror out there somewhere?

It's hard to tell without seeing it in person. It does look good from the back but like you said, the bulk starts to show from the front and side. Move it to the location you're thinking and let it sit for a few days, see how it plays out.

My personal opinion. It looks like it came off a new car....although lots of folks do it, finding the balance of old and new and making it look correct isn't easy.

You guys are in line with what I was thinking on these. Since these are uber expensive ($65/pr) and the back side of the mirror fits pretty well as its only the side and front that kill it, well how about I just cut the front part up and make it smaller? I mean, it's not like I haven't modified every other part on my car, why stop now? Lol

The longer I look at it, the better it looks to me. I vote yes. Nice to see something different on a car that's been done to death.

.

Lines seem too bulky on the side angular view,... keep looking, the right one is bound to pop up!.

I don't normally comment on things like this but those bother me so much I'll make an acceptation. NO! It's a bad idea. DON'T DO IT!! If you do, there's a good chance that someone, I won't name names, will "accidentally" "bump" into them and break them. They make people angry...and that's just rude. If you do run them, be sure to add your "Hillary" bumper sticker.

Yeah...They don't work. Sorry man.

2nd gen mirrors, while arguably unoriginal, are just such a good fit for a more modern look it's hard to improve on. Even the sport-bike motorcycle mirror has a better shot of looking good given the scale of the 1st gen.
