Default 1969 dodge charger "daisy"

dont see many mopars on here, probably considering we have one of the worst front end geometry's. if it wasnt for our big engines and aero packages im sure we wouldnt have won as many nascar races lol. i like all muscle cars from 60's and 70's but the mopars to me have the best body lines and mean stances right out of the box. chargers being my favorite and owning 9 of them now i decided to make a low level roadrace car out of my ratty looking 69 charger. this is a loww budget build and making everything to keep cost down. some of he parts even being used stuff from my circle track cars.

"DAISY" as i have named the charger from being saved out of a field near the border of canada, and who doesnt like daisy duke, she started life as a hertz rental car with a 383 2bbl, white with tan interior and factory console. the car had been neglected since 1981 and stood the harsh weather of minnesota. it took a loader to break the car loose from the frozen ground in -22 degree weather when i picked it up. all 4 wheels locked from rusted brakes. once it made it to vegas i began fixing the major rust but started to like the ratty look it had and not wanting to spend the money on a paint job knowing its going to get messed up playing in the dirt and roadracing i decided to just leave it as is and i think that was the right choice.

ill do a whole thread on the build next week, just thought ide introduce the car at the moment. its 5 link rear suspension, all tubular adjustable coilover front and rear, caged, exc..

Default 😍😍😍😍

Love the look! Reminds me of my 69 Z/28. Looks original down to the beat up patina but can open a can of whoop ass instantly!!

Welcome! I'm glad to see you starting a thread. I read the project spotlight on the car and thought it was bada$$. I'm anxious for more info and to see the build pictures.
