Default Another 67 RS project

This is my 67 RS that I have owned and been messing with for going on 4 years now. I drove it around for a year before I started tearing into her. It needed quarters, outer wheelhouses, trunk pan, floor pans, toe boards and dash top replaced. It`s an original tach with console and guage car. Still have all the original trim and RS grill assembly. It also had a 12 bolt with factory eaton posi and gm 3:73 gears in it. The car is black deluxe interior with a bolero red paint code. The back seat was long gone when I bought the car, but it did have a standard back seat in it. I hunted for a long time trying to find a deluxe/convertible back seat, but never found one. So, I purchased a fold down back seat and installed it. My original plans were to restore it back to stock basically, but with hotchkis suspension, g-mod, poly bushings 4 wheel discs and 700r4 trans. I have since decided to put this LS1 motor and 6 speed that I have in it and minitub the car. I have a question though, how do you minitub a fold down back seat car? Looks to me the seat brackets are right where you need to cut metal out. I already have the tubs, but not the rest of the parts.

I will check tonight. I have a fold down rear seat for my wife's car and will see how it fits with the DSE tubs in mine.

Thanks guys. I just looked up that build and it did give me a little bit of insight on how it`s accomplished. I`m also thinking about scrapping my LS1 motor and going with a LS7 or resleeved LS2 427. Katech has a new shortblock that looks enticing. Anybody gone this route that could supply me with any unforseen info?
