Camaro Firebird Body Panel Interchangeability?

Will A 68 Camaro front clip bolt onto a 68 Firechicken? Weird question...I know. But I found a solid 68 Firebird and I'm not sure how I feel about the chrome "bird beak" grill surround.

About a year ago I almost boght a theft recovery bird with a Camaro front clip. The owner could bear to see his bird like that. It can be done but it just doesn't feel right. Which is why I didn't buy it. If you don't like the bird sell it and buy a Camaro it's less work and you can sleep at night.
