Default I got fender struts....

My struts are in!!!! Posting here because, well, it's a project update. And I know a few of you know my car, but some of you don't. I'll post pics of some other updates soon.

Thanks a bunch Steve!! I love these things!!! The finish is beautiful and the fit is perfect. Sorry about the pic size. I suck at resizing. Anyway.....

Here's the crappy chrome replacement for the stock ones. I was never really happy with the look they gave the engine compartment.

This is the new one. Billet aluminum is puuuurrrdyyy.....

And here it is mocked in before I final install it.

My plans are to actually paint them black so the blend in to the engine compartment better. I'm hoping people do a double take when they see them in there. Now if only I could afford those damn billet hood hinges.......

Good for you, Allen! I think you're on the right track by blacking them out.

looks awesome, i especially like the way ther contrast the washer fluid container... lol.. seriously looks awesome, and depending on the trim of the engine and surrounding stuff black could be the way to go

Well, the engine is gonna be GM Corporate Blue. With the black engine compartment it should look great. I personally think the engine should be like a diamond ring sitting in the engine compartment and it should be clean. For that reason, I also went with these.

I think that should accomplish what I'm after.

Real nice Allen, now you have to go buy a can of engine cleaner to get that engine compartment to match the clean struts!
