Default SurfWagon

I know this isn't a true G ride; but I don't have 50k yet to put into the suspension and drive train so I have to take steps. This was enough to get it this far in the last six months so now I can least enjoy it. Level 1 almost done-rebuilt engine, tranny, interior, and new paint along with Air Ride to keep things a little more smoother. It's not a rocket ship, but it's really, really clean ride. Future will bring billet wheels and sound system hopefully next year...and if I really like the wagon I will look into doing a radical suspension and drive train upgrade someday in the distant future. So far I really like the wagon since it's so different. You just don't see AMC wagon's anymore. Think of it as a turtle working on it's way to beat the hare. Hope to give guys more ideas about something different to do.

What it looked like after primer and fitting of replacement fenders. Front end was banged up and wrecked a bumper, grill, and both fenders...Ouch! The frame though was not damaged much and it was rust free!

i for one love it.
also, i think a wooden roof rack, like the kind they used to have on vw bugs would be pretty awesome, as well as a retractable ragtop sunroof. just an idea.

Now that is cool! The stance and wheels look great! Not a huge fan of sea foam green but it works on that car.

I think it's killer - the color even looks like the beach.

It's totaly funny that you said that, 'cause my dad always drove Ramblers and he'd rotate the personalized plate "TORTICE" when he'd get a new one.
