Default smallblock 406 question

got a fresh 406 at a garage sale (divorce sale).
one thing I noticed is that it doesnt seem to have an oil pressure hole next to the back of the intake manifold like most smallblocks do?
Is this right?
where can I tap into the block to get oil pressure?
maybe ill scrape some paint off to see if the hole isnt just plugged.
for the life of me i thought all gen I smallblocks had a hole there?
