I am just not an audio enthusiast .... how much does all that weight?

So, my birthday present to myself came today .... Chassisworks mini tubs with close out panels. I'm pretty happy, nice quality and everything is stamp with a part # .... instructions are one page, put em in the car

Pictures will follow ... maybe this weekend I can get on em, the roof can wait, this is too cool to let sit idle.

Birthday present for the Camaro from me!

Thanks for looking ....

I wasn't even aware that Chassisworks made tub kits. Having those prefab closeout panels will definitely save a lot of time.

I think the system I have put together weighs in around 135# including the wiring. Not everyone is into audio like myself, I understand that. We all have different goals for our cars. I come from a musician background, so music is a huge part of who I am. I don't play in any bands anymore, but still like to have a nice system. This is the first audio system I have done in nearly 10 years, so I'm anxious to get it and the damn car done!

What color are you planning to do on your car or have you decided on that yet?

What color? I keep changing my mind
that sure is a nice kit with the closeout panels, sure will save time
That is what I thought .... and then I got to cutting and stopped to check where these close out panels were gonna fit, I think they sent me a staggered shock close out instead of same side shocks.

Take a look and see, I have not done this before, but I'm sure that piece is not for a 67 Camaro.

That's a big hole!

This is not gonna fit here

This is the shock tower in the front!

Any comments or pixs of 67 Camaro close out panels would be appreciated.

I still have more cutting to do so not all is lost ... more than enough to keep me busy this weekend.

Thanks for lookin ...

Those are indeed 68-9 closeout panels. You'll either have to come up with our own on the drivers side or check to see if they sell a panel and will swap for the 67. DSE's tubs were for 68-9 only and I had to add a strip to the tub to fill the hole they left due to the staggered shock

Does Chassisworks make a kit specific to the 67? I know that DSE doesn't make a kit specific to the 67.

Just got off the phone with Chassisworks and there is NO specific kit for the 67 Camaro ... that would have been nice to know before I ordered the kit w/ close outs that I don't need.

The rep on the phone said I was the only one to report that it didn't fit 67 Camaro's .....uhhhh?
