Default Driveshaft .. a judgment call.

Pre prerequisite. current power .. 495 Hp and 473 ftLbs torque.
Likley in the future.. magnuson supercharger and cam swap. target 640 ish HP.

Problem.. my 9 inch has a 1310 yoke...

Option 1 just order the 1310 driveshaft it will be fine at 600 Hp/Tq numbers .. Lots of folks are running this says the all might internet..

Option 2 order an 1350 shaft then install a "hybrid joint"
will require a new pinion yoke which may not be the same length and make shaft useless ..

Options 3... change pinion yoke now.. (not sure if on a 9") this-is just a replace or could impact bearing load ect.. and order a 1350 shaft.. now..

I would call Dynatech driveshafts and ask them. They can run through the numbers and tell you what it needs what if it’ll be strong enough

Call Mike at Dynamic Drivelines. My custom 3.5" carbon fiber driveshaft was less than $850!!!! It is just him and his wife so he keeps the costs down. He knows his stuff!

Thoughts on the driveshaft shop vs dynamic driveshaft? Driveshaft shop balances them to 9000rpms. But it seems dynamic is cheaper as well

I am not shy about spending smart money and would have no issue dropping 2k on a driveshaft.. . If you have roughly 8-12 weeks for a DSS or QA1 shaft.. go for it if you think more $$ equates to higher quality... I suspect none of these vendors are making these tubes or ends.. they are assembling from the same sources.. . .. after talking to mike I am confident in his knowledge and quality.
He build for some race car guys.. and would be out of business fast if the quality was sub par relative to higher cost alternatives.. Really feels to me a brand name marketing Difference to me.. .

Good news I finally got my shaft, Bad news since i was delayed getting the shaft in.. I missed my appointment with the exhaust guy who needs a few days dedicated to have my car.. new date early April.
Worse news.. the yoke that came with the shaft.. does not have 31 splines like a t56 Magnum... ( i did tell them magnum 31 spline) they sent this one..
https://www.actionmachineinc.com/pro...nt=37912097733

Can someone confirm my thinking that this is the wrong yoke?

I think its wrong anyone have a good part number for a 1350 Yoke ?

Upside.. i was able to mock in the shaft without taking the torque arm out... Hooray.. !
