Default Hurst Shifter with Stock console

Any creative ideas to install a hurst shifter (pistol grip) with the stock console for 69 camaro? I like the look of the origanal console. Currently have a hurst shifter, but I was thinking of going back to the horseshoe shifter if I cannot figure out a good alternative. More of a street car than track.

assuming that by pistol grip you mean a quarterstick with a pistolgrip... i have on in my 32 and love the feel so i can relate when you want to keep it.. it would seem to me that it would only require a mashined plate with a "slot" in it to allow the hurst shifter to reside under a stock console... if you measure carefully and make a cardboard template with measurements im sure you can have it cut on a waterjet for a reaasonable amount...
