WTB: Engine for my 55' Chevy - Lateral-g Forums

looking for something with good hp 400-500 and gobs of torque to get the box running. Open to either a small block or big block...

Anyone here build engines that fit the criteria and are affordable.

Or anyone have a link to a company that does?

here is the specs on the motor. with the right carb and headers I'd say at lease 510HP. If you interested I'll throw in a Turbo 400 trans

I assume that's the spec's he built the motor too, mius using aluminum heads?

400 + 30 balanced – bored and honed with torque plate align
Honed crank cut 10/10 – 292 turbo heads ported in 202 / 160
Manly valves, crane double springs, 10 degrees locks and retainers,
Screw in studs and Crane 1.5 power rockers, Victor jr. ported manifold Cloyes chain, Melling hv pump and 7 qt. pan
TRW flat top pistons 5.7 rods AP bolts resized, Lunati solid lift cam, Marshe pulleys and belt system 3 IN. Hooker Super Comp headers
Msd Ignition, Holley commander 950 fuel injection, Griffin radiator
its in orlando and its about to come out. less than 500 miles on it .rick franks number 407 832 1752-$ 3500. obo pic is prior to injection

.040 overbored to Around 472 Cu in.
9.5.1 compression
Rods and mains .020 over
New Cam Bearings
Block was cleaned and machined
New Oil pump
New Timing Chain
Isky Racing Hydraulic Roller Cam P/N# 396286
Roller lifters
Roller Rockers
New Pushrods
Heads are Fresh with new Valves and Springs
Its ready to go on an engine stand.
