Does the storage place have insurance?
Either way, I hope you get some money back.

The truck had Cali plates on it, but the bed of the trailer blocked the numbers. The Insurance at the unit only covers my property up to $10K. The wheels were $7K by themselves not to mention the body, the chassis, the C5 suspension and LSX/T56 etc.

I'm looking at Ebay auctions right now for the wheels as well as craigslist for anything that might be coming off my car.

Life goes on I guess. I'm still not fully grasping the situation; I'm in a slight bit of shock.

I would bet it's someone connected to that storage place.

For the cops to not dust for prints tells you how much they really give a ****.
I would call the watch commander and demand they dusted for prints.

The only good thing is you and 50/50 are so well know in the industry. It's not going to be easy for someone to sell the car whole or in parts.

I highly doubt these guys are professionals.

It is going to be real hard for anyone to do anything with it, it is just a little easy to spot. Maybe someone will finsih it and you will get it back!

Good luck man. And you sounded like you were in such a good mood when we talked earlier!

Dusting for prints isn't normal procedure. Don't confuse TV with real life guys. As far as being directed to a sub station to file a report is standard. It sucks, but the crime is in the past and the police have more important matters to attend to.
