Default Quick ratio steering box for second gen

Can anyone please tell me who (if anyone) offers a quick ratio steering box (aftermarket) for a second gen camaro? If it matters it's for a 1970 model.
Thanks,
Eric

yea lots...

my personal choice that Ill be getting for my car is this one.(look in the suspension section)
http://store.nexternal.com/shared/St...unt2=577460885

this is also a speq'ed box from lee too.
http://www.scandc.com/leesteering.htm

not sure if lee builds these 2 with different speq's from each other or not...

also there are these options that are the same boxs as above thier just "crate" steering boxed as opposed to the lee box are brand new box that have been custom tailored.

(scroll down)

and there's also the AGR box its a quick ratio 12:7:1
its just not a 670 size box and is "said" to not be as good as the others mention- but its still leaps above the factory boxs in our cars. and cheaper than the others above.

hope that helps.

Thanks AJ. You rock! I could dump a TON of cash at ATS! Cool stuff.
With the exception of the summit box they are all priced close to the same. I think for the money the ATS box offers the best performance from what I have read. kind of a no brainer huh?

yea well in reality Im not sure if you'ed even notice a difference between the ATS and the SCandC lee boxs, hell who knows if notice a difference between the factory 670 box and the lee's at least on a street car/with occasional racing.
yeah there all close is price so it might just come down to brand loyalty...
tyler(ATS) is a friend of mine and i KNOW performance it the number one proirity for him so if hes got a part that works for me (and i can afford it LOL)hes my guy!

The ATS stuff is really nice. I may not ever be able to tell the difference in feel between the boxes but if I am getting a quality part and quality customer service then I'm happy. From everything I have read about quality and service from Tyler and ATS and now Anvil, I would feel really good about buying from them. Thanks for the info AJ.

Thanks for the info and the link. I was looking at that one too. I'll be pulling the trigger on the chassis parts soon and all this info helps.

Default fast ratio box

back in the later 80's I found a T/A with the WS6 option - got the gearbox and sway bars - cheap easy upgrade - used to be common in boneyards not so anymore

Thanks zman,
I have been looking at the local yards. Everything is so old now it all needs to be rbuilt. I am going with the ATS or SCand C box. I have heard good things about both and the extra piece of mind knowing I have a NEW part is worth it. Plus both are "tuned" for performance.

Default gear box

Well I cant say anything about the A/M boxes but really how specially tuned can they be? the OE specified different boxes to feel different -act faster on the performance cars so when saginaw builds different ones arent they specially tuned? not trying to argue here. I'm basically a cheap bastard and would just as easily pickup a boneyard box -IMO if the box isnt leaking its probably good as its not much of a wear item, but you do get what you pay for too. I'm actually looking for a third gen IROC or WS6 box for a chevelle of mine. good luck with your project just thought I'd post up a low buck option
