Default AC / vintage air questions

Can you help me with few details ..

I have vintage air GEN IV universal set for 69 camaro. I would need the dash side vents . And found these at ricks :

Are those the ones i am looking for ? What else do i need to mount them behind DSE dash and stock right side ? When i bought my project it was roller, bare body only.

And then kick panels.

When useing VA Gen IV instructions say to block of the kick panel vents.

What is the idea behind this? Basicly AC/Heater circulates same air only when driving windows closed ? I would feel much better idea to use non ac car kick panels with fresh air flaps . What do you think ?

I kept my astro ventilation through the kick panels. Nice to have when you don't want the AC/Heat on. You will need to call DSE for the drivers side vent. On the passenger side you will need to track down the housing for the vent as it's not reproduced. I posted in the wanted section on Camaros.net and had a guy send it for free. Frank may have one laying around since he lost mine during my restoration.
I assume either housing will work even theough I used housing 10 without the flapper.

They are reproducing both sides now as complete assemblies. Not sure what's left in stock but Classic Industries part # 3939632 is the RH assembly.

There's not too many parts left that they're not repopping for these first gen Camaros now. Of course finding some items in stock is a different story.
