Default 68 Camaro Project

This is my Standard 68 Camaro, I bought it about a month ago in North Carolina. Its solid all the way around minus some surface rust but nothing serious. Currently the subframe is being off getting powdercoated. I have a 11'' disc brake conversion waiting in the garage and I will be ordering global west coilovers and control arms in a few days. Ill put up more pics when I get the subframe back. You can see in the pics that i have an older house with a garage that barely allows the door to shut with the car rolled in. It makes working on the car interesting but so far I have made it work.

I just found out that you arent allowed to leave a camaro shell on jackstands in your driveway in virginia beach if you are getting the subframe powder coated. Appartently I have 7 days to move it, only problem is im on a training trip for another 10 days. The ticket discribed my car as Junk/trash/ scrap metal.

Default Subframe

I Picked up the subframe today, i still need to call frank and get some parts ordered. Im going to go with Hotchkis Control arms, and drop springs up front. I hope to have the order in by the end of the month.

Also can anyone tell me what this is? I tried to put a red circle around it hopefully you can see it.

some pics of the subframe

I took all of the glass out, and got the firewall stripped down yesterday. Thanks a lot to Frank from Prodigy Customs, he saved me a lot of time and headache with a quick tip on the E-brake cable. I hope to get it off to Media in the next week or so. from the looks of things im going to need to replace the whole floor pan, and do some work around the rear window

Don't you love to get parts back all new and ready to go like the sub frame. It looks great.

I believe that the part your are looking at is the charcoal canister used for emissions back in the day. Dont quote me on this though
