Default 20 x 12 will they fit?

Can I fit 20 x 12 wheels from a newer ZO6 vette in the rear of my 1962 Impala without mods? I think 12" is too wide, all I've seen is 20 x 10 or 22 x 9.5 used on my Impala. I can get a great deal on these 3pc wheels off of the ZO6 but will they fit. HELP!

On a '62, 9.5" is perfect, 10" wide is super tight (but fits with proper bs), 12" is way too wide and wouldnt work without frame and inner well modification.

20x12's will definately not fit on a '62 Impala without mods. A 20x12 will not fit on too much of nothing without mods. Alot of people don't know that a 12" rim is actually 13" wide. I have 20x11's on my Chevelle is it a tight fit. Could have gone 11.5" but didn't want to chance it and a Chevelle is a much bigger car than a '62 Impala. But the great thing about 3-piece wheels is you can always modify the rim halves. So, if the price is as good as you say it is, buy them and have the inner/outer barrels changed out to fit your car.

You would need to re-hoop the wheels anyway to correct the backspacing for your application, so you might as well narrow them at the same time since you need new inner and outer hoops. Contact the wheel manufacturer or a dealer for them and see what it would cost, probably only about 30% to 40% of what the wheels cost new all said and told in my experience.
