Default Guy from Chicago

Hello, I'm John and I've lived in Chicago for over 20 years.

Over the last twenty years I've owned a huge variety of cars, that include a bunch of 1st and 2nd gen Camaros, and also Novas, GTO's and Chevelles.

A few years ago I bought one of my dream cars, a chopped 1951 Mercury.

I think it looks a little better now:

I see you are on Western Ave. right by Crabby Kim's. I grew up there and still have friends there with cars. Maybe you know Jay with the yellow American Graffitti Ford. Cool car you have there.

I've never been in Crabby Kims but I think that's the bar behind me in the pic? I should try it.

I don't know Jay but I've seen his AG tribute car a few times. I'd like to take some pics of the cars together at some point once I do the grille.

My next purchase will run high 11's, be pretty new, and take corners. And have two booster seats for my boys, most likely a 2011 Camaro SS.

PM me when you are ready and I will get a hold of him. Maybe we'll bump into each other at a local cruise night.

The local ones are unfortunately not in the city, but they are in the surrounding burbs. Here are a few that I can confirm are going on. I have a list of more but I have never been to them so I cannot say if they are good or not.

Monday- Westchester at 31st and Wolf Rd.

Wednesday- Downtown Elmhurst

Friday- Windy City Rods at 6143 W. Howard in Niles. McDonalds in Rosemont at River Rd. and Higgins under the Rosemont water tower.

Saturday- Downtown Mt. Prospect on Northwest Hwy. (good show) Bouna Beef on Arlington Hights Rd. in think Elk Grove Village but it may be Itasca
