Default 6 Speed Viper T56 for 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI in Classic Mopars

Thought you guys might enjoy this

We're working on a kit for the B and E bodies to run a 6-speed T-56 with the 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI in the Mopar B or E body cars. The one in the picture is an upgraded Viper spec T56.

The bellhousing on it will bolt right up to a 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI. It will require reworking the trans tunnel, but a 6 speed Mopar should be awesome and this trans can handle really big horsepower. With two overdrive gears you run alot of gear - we'll be using 3.91's on our cars.

It's not done yet, but this trans will be going on our first build, which will be done in late April.

Not sure if you guys have been following the Dream Car Garage shows, but this weeks should be very interesting. They will be showing (and explaining) the four post suspension testing, the torsion tests and also CMM work we had to do with a Faro Arm to develop CAD models of the stock Mopar suspension.

First airing is 7:00 PM tommorrow (Wed.) night and then it runs three more times (7AM Thu, 9:30 AM Sat, 10PM Sun and 3AM sun). This particular episode should be very interesting. If you're into into understanding modern suspension development/engineering this one episode shoud be very informative.

Cool... Now if I could find an easy way to get one of those transmissions to bolt up to a 440
