I'd ask if he has a build book. there has to be more than 25 photos of the build process starting from when they stripped it. Its nice to see it in bare metal so you know how it was put together. I would get the name of the builder and talk to him.
Sounds like you already want to rebuild it. If it isn't really what you want it may not be a bargain.
Yeah for the small add ons i would make i still would be way ahead of the game from building a car. Mini Tubs and Forgelines would be expensive but not something i would feel i would HAVE to do. Adding EFI and AC just for the sake of it to make it more user friendly. I think to find one exactly like you want done already is almost impossible these days as everyone has their own taste in car building.
Im just looking for a cool cruiser to drive and chill in, no track events or anything like that.
I actually found the builder on the forum and spoke with him in detail explaining the build and i have a ton of build photos so it was done pretty well with no shortcuts taken.
I sent a friend Friday to go see the car and he told me it was really nice and drove well.
I canceled my deposit two weeks back on a 2013 Shelby because im sick of loosing my shirt on modern cars plus they lack character and rarity on the road. I lost a good chunk on my Vette ZR1 and my 2011 Camaro and refused to do it again.
