Nice project! My dad was a huge olds guy. Unfortunately he passed away last year. But this is one of his cars he left me. Btw it's not a clone.

Very cool to give it the Hurst Olds look. I remember when the '69's came out.

Wasn't easy to join that owners club.

Thanks for the compliments! Sorry to hear about your father but that is one hell of a thing to remember him by!

Best of luck with her!

So the Bandit doesn't like someone else reachin into his pockets that far, huh?

lol

Obviously can't go wrong with Forgelines.

Below are prototypes. I don't know if anyone else decided to produce them.

Hahaha....funny I was looking to see if those guys were still being produced. I only saw a few pics of them but this is a new computer and I lost all the damn info on them. Closest thing I found were Rushforth Concept 2s but I can't seem to find them on Jay's site anymore. I might give him a holler to chat.

I love the look of the Forgelines but last night priced them out and had to change the bed sheets after ****ting myself....lololol. It is defintely an awesome wheel but the near $5K sticker was a little hard to swallow! I was just warming up to a set of wheels for around $3500...haha.

If I could find some more pics of the enlarged SSIIs you show above I could make a little better decision fo rmyself!!!

Here's a email I saved from Gary regarding the billet Olds rally. I also called Bonspeed about 2yrs ago asking is they have these ready for production and they said they have chosen not to produce them. I wanted a set for my conv.

Season’s Greetings Jeff!

A while back you provided your name as an "interested party" on my web site, StreetsmartClassics.com, for the Billet SS2 or SS3 Oldsmobile style rally wheels as they became available. I've had a lot of uphill battles to climb, but finally, an existing billet wheel manufacturer has thrown me a rope to help make this wheel available to you. I have recently partnered with "Bonspeed" in California (bonspeedwheels.com).

Bonspeed is one of the premier 2 piece billet wheel manufacturers in the U.S. who builds 100% of their wheels here in the good ole' USA. Their billet wheel manufacturing skills, quality machining, and top of the line polishing capabilities inspired my efforts in contacting them for assistance. Bonspeed's help has greatly reduced the wheel prices, opened the door to more wheel sizing options, PLUS allows the buyer custom backspacing options. I will no longer have any part of the actual wheel construction. The Billet SS2 and SS3 wheels will be built completely by Bonspeed. My only contribution to the wheel now will be through its design, past and future efforts in sharing the wheel with you through marketing, and to assist you with placing/taking your orders. I'll work with you to help you obtain the correctly sized wheel and make sure that your wheels are completed as ordered and safely delivered to your door.

We all know that our economy is terrible and that times are hard for many. I realize that this is certainly not the best time to announce the release of these custom wheels to the public, but for those of you who signed up as "interested parties", I'm finally able to provide you some GOOD news on the wheel. My apologies on the delay.

I am now ready to start accepting orders from anyone that may be interested in this Oldsmobile style wheel design. Below my signature, you will see my current pricing, size, and finish options list for your review. If you are interested in the SS2 style wheel (Olds rally wheel with the look of a raised trim ring), the listed prices and options shown below for the SS3 are identical for the SS2. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I apologize in advance if you receive this email more than once.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Season!!

Thanks,

Gary Willard
