Default steering column floor mount

Has anyong on here used the swivel ball floor mount on a iddidit column, I am thinking of cutting out complete firewall vs welding seems and holes up, and possible getting a swivel style floor mount likethe use on streetrods to mount the column where it goes through the firewall, then redo holes for wiring to come through, any ideas on this one
Thanks

John Black did this I believe. Pics in his thread and he may chime in if he's not busy making a baby or opening a new business...

JK John!

I used an Ididit and the factory through firewall location, then added a swivel-ball plate made by Flaming River. Worked perfect.
