Default For Sale: 67-69 Camaro Subfame with DSE coiler over brackets installed.

For Sale: 67-69 Camaro Subfame with DSE coil over brackets installed. The DSE coil over bracketry was installed by certified welder. I no longer have DSE speed Kit 2, so you have to buy that separate. The subframe was blasted, primed and painted gloss black. The subframe is straight. This sub was installed on my 67 Camaro, but I changed to different subframe. I need this out of my garage, so the price is $500 US. I am located in Dayton, Ohio. If the buyer wants the subframe shipped, then buy has to pay the shipping costs. I prefer local area pickup.

If you want to buy this subframe, then I want to see a photo of your car in this thread. If you have a Build thread on Lateral-g.net, then members want to see it the build thread.

I have estimated $1220 in the subframe.
Subframe cost - $100
Coil Over bracketry kit - $300
Certified welder was $600
Automotive paint, primer, etc was around $130.
Modification to bolt on back of DSE subframe connectors - $90

So the cost of $500 is cheap. Freight costs are high now.

Here is some links of the subframe.

Just send me a PM, if you are interested in Subframe.

Jeff

Any freight involves more details than just a zipcode. I will have to weigh it and put it on skid. Here is an example of local freight company. A friend knows the best freight companies in the area, but my DSE subframe was shipped via Con-Way. There was not any damage to subframe.

My Bowler transmission was shipped via Fedex Frieght. So that might be another option.

I will also travel a 2 hour radius of Dayton, Ohio if anyone wants to do that. I know soundqdoug mentioned that, but I need a small deposit to hold it.

ViperBlue68, shipping will be costly for california.
soundqdoug is interested.

No Deposit has been received as of Sunday 18, 2012. So Subframe is still available. Subframe is located in another garage, and I am about to lose that storage space. I can hold sub frame to December.
If no one wants the subframe, then I take it the scrap yard. I really can't understand why people can't pick it up. I went several times to pick up parts, and never expected the buyer to meet some place.
If you are building a car, then expect to do this often. I did this several times with mine.

My Reply to Brandon's PM,

He is located near me in Ohio. Of course, he doesn't have $500... Although, he is willing to take off the subframe off my hands..

Brandon, I will cut it up and take it to the scrap yard. No One can have the subframe now! Actually, Jack that worked on my 67 Camaro project has done that with full cars that he raced back in the 50's. I think one was a 57 Chevy that he cut up and took to the scrap yard. I am just shocked that number of people expect that I will deliver the subframe to them. When I bought my NOS sheet metal in New York, I had to travel well over 8 hours to get it. Of course, I also got to see a 67 Pace Car with a 396, and several other cars at Camaro Specialities.

I did the same thing for the Whirly jig, but I wanted to see it first. Yes, you need to see the parts before you buy them. Realize that freight costs alot, and it could be crushed in transit.

Well, I suspect that Brandon wants free parts to sell. He has written me back to tell me that I posted his PM in the thread. Well, Brandon, it is my thread. I didn't give your location away (Ohio is a big state) or your real username. Then he writes that rather not do business with someone like me? Ok, I am lost here.. You want something for free, and you call that business.

Actually, a friend of mine used to make money by picking up items that people don't want anymore. Oh, he buy from auctions, garage sales, forums, etc. So, he turn around and sell it on ebay.

Steve68, I think there should be some new rules regarding parts that go up for sale. We want to see those parts on their cars.
