I'll also tell you this now before you spend 150k. If you have mercedes benz on your mind when you build a PT Car, you are in for a rude awakening on your first drive. It's a 40 year old car with 40 year old basic engineering, it can't be done.

Thanks. I've built many cars (myself) over the years and have the PT disease firmly in my blood, so I feel I'm approaching this with a fair dose of reality. Many of my previous cars have been fairly hard edged, and I was trying to convey in my post that I'm not looking for every last dose of horsepower (been there) but more looking to create an overall balanced and driveable touring package, while retaining what we all value - the '40 year old car' bit....
