Can't wait to see this bad boy all finished up. I spent over 2 hours last night reading this thread from the beginning and gotta say Greg that I love your build threads.... 99% smack talkin and 1% about the actual build lol
She's gonna be a beauty when all finished up. The Briz builds damn nice cars.

On my recent trip to the Grand National Roadster Show -- I met with The Briz and asked that he copy the colors of Phil Remington's Dry Lakes Roadster... (which was a Dan Webb recreation/tribute build) This car was on the cover of The Rodders Journal - and was also convenient that the roadster was there on display....

Sadly -- I've just read that Mr. Remington has passed away. He worked on Shelby's Cobra and GT 40 programs... as well as worked at Dan Gurney's All American Racers.

Worked up until the last month of his 92 yr old life.

Bummer. A friend just named his new daughter Remington after him. I met and hung out with Mumford for awhile at Barrett-Jackson this year. Heck of a nice guy.

The car - in person - is much darker blue than these photos.... It is said to be 1940 Ford Washington Blue... but like all such things - you could line up 50 cars done with that name of blue and they'd all be different. The Briz knows the builder and said he'd call and get the paint code if they'd share.

Mr Remington's passing will just make the "copying" all the more special for me. I'll think of him when looking at the car.... So I guess your soul does live on - it's in the memories of others.

Eric --- I've been living the dream for about 22 years now (since I retired)... and I like traveling WITHOUT my wife better than with her.

It's funny - The Briz had to talk me into building the '33 body over building another '32 --- and I'm glad he did 'cause I just love this body style!

The blue and red look great together. Will you be going red on the rims too, Greg?

I believe you'll reflect on that decision in the future while looking at the car in the shop with great satisfaction. The color combination decision is also superb!
