Thanks Dave,

It's a Canon EOS 7D, using a "cheap" Rebel 18-55mm IS "kit" lens. This lens does actually rate pretty high with Ken Rockwell and a few other reviewers. It's only a $200 lens and the viable competitors are $500-$1200. Once in awhile I get lucky!

Greg - What were the exposure settings on your image?

This is our traditional stop at the summit of Hwy 58 on the way to varmint hunt in Paisley. First time I went into this tavern was in 1981........ It's an iconic destination for the snowmobilers in the winter.

Basically --- just using the "night scene" setting on the camera.

I went down to the "shed" to get something -- normally the flourescent lights are on 24/7 -- but with the warm weather we're having - I turned them off yesterday. I was surprised by the cool "scene" when I walked in... I liked the colors coming off the floor etc... so ran back to the house and grabbed the real camera. I should have used my mono-pod but it's out in the rig.

I wasn't trying to be artistic or get a particularly killer shot -- I just snapped a couple pics to see if I could capture the feeling.
