Default St. Ignace, MI car show *Update*

If anyone is going to be at the show this week end, me and four friends will be at the Budget Host at the north end of the strip. Stop on bye and say hi. We always have a cooler full of cold beer. Once traffic starts to back up our cars will be tucked away safe in the parking lot, and we will on the front lawn with beer in hand watching the activities.

This is also going to be the first bigger show my buddies 66 Nova will be out for. It's a black and orange two tone car with a LS1 and T56 as well as a C4 vette front end. It's a VERY cool car. (and I'm picky) It took best of show at a local show with about 300 cars last week end.

If anyone is going up I hope to see you there,

Jason

I have a few of the car during the build. The car was just a shell last October, and the goal was to have it ready by Ignace. He just made it. The car was finnished (for now) the middle of last weak. If someone can host the pics I can send them a bunch of pics after this week end.

I've never been to it but I understand it's a pretty big show.

One day when the Camaro is done I'll have to take a drive across the Mackinac Bridge to attend that.

A few years back while driving across the bridge my brother in law ran out of gas in his 57 chevy right in the middle. That was a year to remember.
Im not going this year but maybe next.
Let me know Tony Ill go with ya.Better book a year in advance(hotel) it will sell out on both sides of the bridge.

Chris

Well guys the Nova won Best modified GM vehicle of show. Not bad for a car that was a bare shell in October. The award was given out the the GM Performance Division. None of them could believe that the car was done in 8 months, and that for the most part no one over the age of 26 worked on the car. The only parts of the car that were not done in house were the seat covers and head liner.

I have more pics if anyone wants to see them, also these copies were sized down for the internet. I have bigger higher quality copies if anyone wants.

Congratulations Jason!

The car looks great. How many people turned out for the event? Looks like you had nice weather for it.

I love the Upper Peninsula. It's like a different world up there.

Thanks, it was a good time up there. I think the show is starting to turn around. There were more people up there this year than the last 3. The number of show cars is still down. I think there were about 900+ show cars this year. There were 3200 in 2003. There were a lot of classic cars still at the hotels during the show. I guess they were just up there for a good time and didn't care about entering.
